Service Description

**2-DAY Training Course** 10 Hr/Day Deceptive Behavioral Detection 2.0 & Interdiction Academy 2.0** This intensive two-day training program equips sworn law enforcement officers with advanced skills in roadside interviewing, behavioral analysis, and criminal interdiction. Built for today’s patrol and interdiction environment, the course blends behavioral science with real-world tactics to help officers detect deception, identify criminal indicators, and articulate their observations in a manner that stands up in court. The curriculum focuses on crimes involving the transportation of narcotics, illicit currency, weapons, and human smuggling, while strengthening the officer’s ability to evaluate human behavior during any encounter. Officers learn the foundational science behind human behavior under stress, including how the limbic system and prefrontal cortex drive reactions during fear, guilt, or deception. These natural processes reveal themselves through involuntary changes in tone, pacing, body language, and emotional expression. Participants are taught to spot these verbal and non-verbal cues and differentiate ordinary nervousness from behavioral clusters linked to concealed criminal activity. A key component of the training is establishing and evaluating baseline behavior, allowing officers to identify meaningful deviations as an encounter progresses. The course also delivers practical instruction in advanced roadside interviewing techniques. Officers practice conversational, non-confrontational questioning that encourages natural responses and exposes inconsistencies or deceptive behaviors. Throughout both days, participants review real dash-camera footage from instructor stops, learning how deceptive individuals react under pressure and how small observations build into reasonable suspicion and, when appropriate, probable cause. Legal application is woven throughout the program to ensure officers can clearly articulate their observations, distinguish between consensual and detention encounters, and document decisions in a way that is defensible in court. By the end of the two days, officers leave with a deeper understanding of human behavior, sharpened interviewing abilities, and proven interdiction techniques grounded in both science and field experience. This course is ideal for patrol officers, interdiction officers, investigators, and analysts seeking advanced, courtroom-ready skills to elevate roadside enforcement and overall effectiveness.
